Porsche 997 Turbo Mod #1:
The ECU Flash is the best mod you will ever do on these turbocharged 3.6L engines. They are designed to hold a lot more than you think. The ECU Flash will take your 997TT from 480HP to a tad over 600bhp with just doing the ECU Flash. The ECU Flash is done via the OBDII port with our VR Tuned ECU flashing system. This reads out the stock file, sends it to us here at Vivid Racing to modify and then send back to you to flash it. With this tool you can flash between your stock and tuned file. These ECU Tunes are made specifically for your vehicles software. Basic mods like the exhaust, air filter, boost recirculation valves, headers, intercoolers, throttlebody plenum do not require additional tuning. See More on the VR Tuned ECU Flash Here.
Porsche 997 Turbo Mod #2:
When doing the ECU Flash, you are increasing your horsepower from 480bhp to nearly 615bhp. The stock spark plugs just do not cut it anymore. So to avoid any breaking up or misfiring, you need to change out those spark plugs with a colder plug. The Denso IK22 or NGK BKR7EIX are great plugs to do. While you are doing the 3rd upgrade of the exhaust, this is a perfect time to do the spark plug upgrade. Order Porsche 997 Turbo Spark Plugs Here.
Porsche 997 Turbo Mod #3:
This is the most important mod for several reasons. First is that for the ECU to gain all the power we are saying, you have to upgrade the exhaust because it is very restrictive. So doing the exhaust is almost mandatory. Secondly the exhaust system will change the way the Porsche sounds so much that you will actually enjoy driving your new dream car. Inherently the Porsche 997 Turbo exhaust is extremely quiet. When you floor the car you sound more like a strong blow dryer then a 200mph capable car. There are so many exhaust options available. We recommend some such as Armytrix, Fabspeed, Kline, Tubi, Soul Performance. Exhausts will all achieve the same result for the Porsche 997 Turbo. So you really want to pick one that fits your budget and sound. Shop all Porsche 997 Turbo Exhausts Here.
